Yaathisai – a period drama which has impressed one and all with its trailer. The film narrates the story of the Pandiyas, and how the Einar tribe came face to face with them and tried to pull them down.
The film set in the backdrop of the 7th century revolves around the story of of a small group of villagers who fought against the Pandiyan king.
Despite having no famous faces in the cast, the makers have pulled off spectacular visuals and have been able to convince the audiences that this is something special from Tamil cinema. Yaathisai, directed by Dharani Rasendran, has been made on a decent budget, and the effort shows from the team to pull off such a film with limited resources.
Well-made.. Both screen play and making..
