In a remote mountain village situated at an altitude of around 6,000 feet, hundreds of families live without access to modern technology. Even cycling is a luxury, and education and healthcare are mere dreams for these people.
The protagonist, Azhagar, who grew up in this challenging environment, wants to address the village’s medical needs through his sister Kavitha. Kavitha walks several kilometers through the mountains to attend school and eventually achieves remarkable success, becoming the top scorer in the state.
The entire village sends him off to medical college with high hopes and dreams, eager to see him bring about positive change to their community. When Azhagar’s sister comes to Chennai for her medical studies, she is murdered due to one of her actions. Upon learning of her death, Azhagar sets out to avenge her sister’s killers. The climax reveals the reason behind her murder and how Azhagar exacts his revenge.
The first half of the film is a thrilling ride, with Azhagar and Sharath chasing and killing people in a frenetic pace, leaving the audience wondering what’s happening and why. The reasons behind these events unfold in the second half. After the interval, the story shifts to a lush mountain village, bringing a refreshing change of pace and atmosphere. The relationship between Nabi Nanthi and Sharath is revealed, adding a new layer to the story.
Swasika, who acted alongside “Gethu” Dinesh in “Lubber Pandhu,” shines in this film with her youthful energy. Poonam Kaur makes a glamorous appearance in a song sequence, adding to the film’s appeal.
Bhoghee movie features a talented cast, including Nabi Nanthi, Sharath, “Lubber Pandhu” Swasika, Poonam Kaur, Vela Ramamoorthy, Sangili Murugan, Motta Rajendran, M.S. Baskar and among others. Each actor has delivered a strong performance, bringing their characters to life and adding depth to the story.
Music composed by Maria Manohar is enjoyable, with all the songs and background score being pleasing to the ear. Cinematography by Raja C Sekar is a major strength of the film. The dialogues written by S.T. Suresh Kumar are excellent.
Director Vijayasekaran.S has created a thought-provoking and socially conscious film based on two real-life incidents that shook Indian society. He has skillfully woven these events into a thrilling crime thriller that engages the audience.
“Bhoghee” movie is by tackling serious issues in an entertaining manner, the director has managed to make the film appealing to a wide range of viewers. Kudos to him for his effort.
