“Mrs and Mr” movie produced Jovika Vijayakumar under the banner of Vanitha Film Productions – Srinik Productions, Music by Srikanth Deva, Directed by Vanitha Vijayakumar, Starring by Robert Master, Vanitha Vijayakumar, Shakila, “Power Star” Srinivasan, Fathima Babu, Chef Dhamu, Sreeman, “Gemini” Kiran, Aarthi Ganeshkar, Ganeshkar, KSG Ravikanth, Anumohan, Vasuki, Swetha Bharthi, Soumya Jayaram, Charmila, Gayathri Rema, Gumtaj, Nanjil Vijayan & Many others.

Mrs and Mr movie revolves around Vanitha, who lives in Bangkok with her mother, Shakila, and sister, Aarthi Ganeshkar. Vanitha works at her father’s catering, fulfilling cake orders. At the age of 30, Vanitha falls in love with Robert Master and marries him, deciding to postpone having children for ten years. However, as she approaches 40, pressure from her mother, relatives, and friends, and she decides to conceive. Robert vehemently opposes the idea, leading to heated arguments. Frustrated, Vanitha tries various methods to convince him, but to no avail. She gets angry with Robert and leaves Bangkok for her uncle’s house, only to discover she’s three months pregnant.

The story raises questions: Who is preventing Vanitha from getting close to her husband? Why does Robert refuse to let Vanitha have a child? Does Vanitha inform Robert about her pregnancy? Will the couple ultimately reconcile? The film is a blend of adult comedy and drama, exploring these questions and more.

Vanitha Vijayakumar shines in the first half with her glamorous appearance, gait, and mannerisms, reminiscent of women living in Bangkok, bringing a playful and lively vibe to the film. She effortlessly dances with her husband Robert, showcasing her charm. In the second half, she delivers a commendable performance, portraying a woman struggling to conceive. Robert, as her husband, equally impresses with his portrayal of trying to evade Vanitha, his reasons for not wanting children, and his comedic timing, making their on-screen chemistry palpable. Both actors bring their characters to life with convincing performances.

The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Shakila, “Power Star” Srinivasan, Fathima Babu, Chef Dhamu, Sreeman, “Gemini” Kiran, Aarthi Ganeshkar, Ganeshkar, KSG Ravikanth, Anumohan, Vasuki, Swetha Bharthi, Soumya Jayaram, Charmila, Gayathri Rema, and Nanjil Vijayan, among others, who bring their characters to life with energetic performances.

The cinematography, handled by three cinematographers – Rajapandi T (Thailand), Vishnu Ramakrishnan (Chennai), and DG Kapil (Dubai) – captures stunning visuals across three countries, adding to the film’s grandeur. The music, composed by Srikanth Deva, is excellent work, with the song of Ilaiyaraaja’s Michale Madha Kama Rajan movie “Sivarathiri” creating a sizzling effect. However, editor Balaguru’s contribution to the film’s scenes is extraordinary, merges to enhance the overall impact.

Vanitha Vijayakumar has written the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the film “Mrs & Mr” and has also directed it. Although she aimed to convey the challenges and complexities of having a child at the age of 40 through the story, she succeed to execute it effectively. Adult-oriented sequences set in Bangkok, and comedic relief in the hometown scenes. As a result, the core message gets high, and the narrative becomes justify. Director Vanitha Vijayakumar’s capability to balance the tone and focus of the story engages from the film’s overall impact.

Mrs and Mr story is same as “Ilayathilagam” Prabhu – Kanaka starring “Thalattu Kekkuthamma”. But Vice-versa.

Mrs and Mr Movie Vanitha Vijayakumar’s costumes and the double-meaning dialogues in the film gave it a feel akin to watching an adult movie. There isn’t much to praise in the film, except maybe the occasional decent scene or dialogue. Moreover, the content is so explicit that even married couples might find it uncomfortable to watch in a theater setting.
